It is poignant because it contains the common themes she heard from her patients when she worked in palliative care. When they were questioned about any regrets they had or what they would do differently these were the five most common themes1. I wish Id had the courage to live a life true to myself not the life others expected of me.2. I wish I didnt work so hard.3. I wish Id had the courage to express my feelings.4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.5.
